XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming is one of the best opportunities for anyone interested in becoming a professional pet groomer. If you are passionate about animals and want to build a career in the pet care industry, we invite you to come meet us and learn more about our hands-on training programs.
XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming is owned and operated by Marisol Rivera and Carlos Garcia, professional pet groomers and animal lovers with more than ten years of experience in the pet grooming and pet care industry.
At XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming, we believe in hands-on learning. From your very first day, you will be working directly with dogs in the grooming tubs. While we provide handouts, classroom discussions, and small group activities, most of the learning takes place through daily practical experience at your grooming table.
We are a small pet grooming school, which allows us to offer personalized, one-on-one instruction. With a limited number of students and two experienced instructors, each student receives the guidance, support, and confidence needed to develop professional grooming skills.
At XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming, we believe grooming is more than breed patterns and haircuts—it is a lifestyle and a profession. We teach not only how to groom pets, but how to become a successful pet groomer. This is a demanding career, both physically and mentally, which is why we are committed to providing the most comprehensive pet grooming education possible.
Contact us today to schedule a tour and interview and discover how XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming can help you start your career as a professional pet groomer.
XoloDoggie School of Pet Grooming requires 500 hours of hands-on training, which typically takes four to five months, depending on each student’s schedule and commitment. While we do not offer financial aid, payment plans are available.
Our program has no semesters or terms; students begin individually and join current students at various stages, similar to the one-room schools of the past. Classes run Monday through Saturday, starting at 8:00 AM and ending when the day’s work is complete—or as we say, when the last dog goes home.
We prefer a face-to-face interview for all applicants to ensure they understand the demands of a career in pet grooming. This profession requires a love of dogs, a solid understanding of dog behavior and handling, and the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift large, sometimes uncooperative dogs. Grooming is rewarding but physically and mentally demanding, and this program is designed for students committed to success in the pet care industry.
